The $350/class USPTO fee is a federal government charge. It applies regardless of who prepares your application and is paid directly to the USPTO — not to TradeMaker.
Refunds. Our preparation fee is refundable within 24 hours of payment, as long as we have not started work on your application. The USPTO filing fee is refundable in full at any time before we file — once it is filed, the government keeps it.

Honest fine print
A licensed trademark attorney at Melivate Group. They personally review your application, sign it, and file it with the USPTO as your attorney of record. Our system will not let a filing go out without that sign-off — it is a hard rule, not a marketing line.
That is the federal government's fee for processing a trademark application. It goes straight to the USPTO — not to us — and everyone pays it no matter who prepares their filing. We just show it to you up front instead of surprising you with it later.
Every plan includes a common-law search for unregistered marks already in use. Basic gets you a complete, correct, attorney-filed application — great for most people. Standard adds rush turnaround, a comprehensive federal-register clearance report with a written recommendation, and covers the most common USPTO pushback (formality Office Actions). Premium adds the ownership review and the after-filing work: Statement of Use prep, Amazon Brand Registry support, and priority handling.
If your application describes your products in your own words instead of the USPTO's pre-approved wording, the government charges an extra $200 per category. Your attorney checks your wording against the USPTO's list before filing and tells you if it applies, so you can decide — reword it and avoid the fee, or keep your wording and pay it knowingly. What we will not do is let it land on you as a surprise.
You get one. Every filing is reviewed, signed, and filed by a licensed attorney at Melivate Group — that is included, not an upsell. If your situation turns out to be complicated (a likely conflict, a past refusal, international plans), we will tell you before you spend money, and the same attorneys can take it from there.
Longer than anyone likes: the USPTO usually starts examining 3–6 months after filing, and full registration typically lands 12–18 months out. We cannot speed up the government, but your dashboard tracks every step and we explain each milestone as it happens.
A non-final Office Action gives you 3 months to respond — and it is common, so do not panic. Formality fixes (descriptions, specimens, paperwork) are included in Standard and Premium, and from $149 on Basic. Substantive refusals are real legal work, and the Melivate attorneys handle those with a clear quote first.
